The Kentucky Bourbon Trail was established in 1999 by the Kentucky Distillers’ Association (KDA) as a way to promote the bourbon industry and increase tourism to the state. It has since become a major draw for both bourbon enthusiasts and casual tourists. The trail includes several well-known and historic bourbon distilleries, each offering tours and tastings of their products. Some of the distilleries you may encounter along the trail include Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Woodford Reserve, Wild Turkey, Four Roses, and Heaven Hill, among many others.
